REDROCK RELAY!!!!!!!!!!!

On September 4th my sister-in-law Amber, me, my friend Jen, eight Delta girls, and one guy all ran the Redrock Relay. Here is what the Redrock Relay is: 187 mile relay from Brianhead to Snow Canyon, a 8 thousand foot decent. There were 12 on our team we each ran three legs any where from 7 to 18 miles total per person. We spent the night before at this cute little cabin.

It was such an amazing experience. We had the best time we had a fun group our drivers were great, we had a blast. Although it was the hardest thing I have ever done. My first leg was 6.5 miles down Cedar canyon. My first mile was uphill then the last 5.5 were all downhill. I dropped almost 1800 ft. It was raining the first part of my run and I ended up getting a blister about 3.5 miles in. I also was lucky enough to wear a cute reflector vest because it was a really busy highway.

I was in the first van with the first 6 runners, after we all did our first leg we went into Cedar to get some thing to eat. By the time we started eating I wasn't feeling well I was getting really sick. My lungs and throat were killing because of the high altitude. (about 4 or 5 of us were pretty sick and we went threw a bottle of Maalox like it was nothing)

We started our 2nd leg around 7:00 PM, I was runner # 6 and started my second run at midnight it was 6.4 miles up for a while then down the last little while, and I wore the cute vest again, and endured with my blister. I ran from Virgin to LaVerkin. While I was running there was tons of thunder and lighting in the distance and I just barley missed having to run in it. Poor Carly runner #7 had to run in it. After our second leg we went and tried to sleep for a while, it didn't work out very well I think I ended up getting maybe 20 or 30 minutes of sleep.

We started our last leg around 5 AM and so my leg started about 11 AM or so. I ran past Gunlock reservoir. I was still sick and it was starting to get so hot. I struggled the most on this leg. It was 5.5 a lot of up and down again. With not much sleep, my blister (that I could feel swooshing back and forth), and the heat----but I did it, I finished. 18.4 miles I did it.

Everyone did such a great job our team finished in 30 hours. Amber and Jen did awesome. Poor Amber fell, and poor Jen had a lot of uphill. The other van had lots of rain, thunder, and hot temperatures during the final legs. But we all did it and had a great time.

More pictures to come later. I didn't take very many. But Shannon took lots so I will post more when I get some from her.

Jack's 1st Day of KINDERGARTEN

September 3rd was Jacks first day of school. It is so crazy to think that he is in kindergarten. He is such a fun, cute little guy. :0)

GiRLs TriP!!!!

A few weeks ago I went on a little girls getaway with my mom, the Shepherd's and the Draper's(my neighbors growing up). We had such a great time. We went to Olive Garden for dinner the first night then worked our way up to Park City. We did tons of shopping, laughing, and not sleeping. It was so fun and so good to get away from busy life for a couple of days. (Lacey left early so she wasn't in the pics)

A Birthday, A Baptism and More.....

Last week was another crazy week. Our final Birthday of the month. Ryan's birthday was last Monday. We went to dinner with some family and friends we had a great time.

Then on Tuesday we threw a shower for Mallorie, it turned out really good.

Last but definitely not least Sam got Baptised on Saturday. They did his baptism early so he could attend the Temple Dedication on Sunday. What an amazing day. I am so proud of his choice to get baptized. Thanks everyone who came and supported Sam on his big day. :0) Let me tell you it was the most eventful baptism I have ever been too. Tony and Missy were stuck in traffic so they were late plus some lady wouldn't let them in a door and made them go around. Jeremy and Jeanna barely made it in time to see the baptism because Dex had a football game earlier, Dex had the black make up lines under his eyes and was caring his belt in, Brianne was running in with her shoes in her hands because a few doors they tried were locked and they had to run around the building, Drew fell in the font; so so so funny, and during the confirmation there was some girl in the chapel just singing as loud as she could. Sam's baptism is for sure one we will never forget.

I have always wanted to go to Disneyland with out my kids so I can ride the rides I want. We had so much fun. Thanks Ry for taking me!!! :0)
The only reason Ryan went was to get a yummy turkey leg.

This is the first time we sat down all day, it was at 8, we were so exhausted

Lake Powell I Love You!!!

Last week we were able to go to Lake Powell. Man I love that place I have been going since I was a little girl and can't get enough of it. We went with my parents, my brother Jeremy and his family, my brother Van and his family, and my cousin Garret and his family. We had such a great time and I really want to go back soon.
Sam had so much fun wake boarding.
One night we took the girls on the Ski Bob and they had so much fun they ended up naming him Ski Bob Johnny.
Jacks favorite thing at Lake Powell was cliff jumping. We got him jumping even higher than this. When we first got there we could barely get him to jump off the boat.
All of the girls jumping. Me, Brianne, Rylee, Jeanna, Macey, & Amber.
Every year the kids make up skits and perform them for us. We had a huge rock that they were able to use as their stage.
Our Cute little family, minus Lil' Will he stayed home with Grandma Tina and Aunt Missy. It was so nice not having to worry about him.
Ryan and Sam cliff jumping.
This is our camp we had shade until 11 in the morning then again around 5 it was so nice.
Hole-In-the-Rock. Every year we go to Hole-In-the-Rock, but this is the first time we climbed it. I am so glad that we decided to climb it, it was so awesome. Other than the gross rattle snake I saw that totally freaked me out.

This is about half way to the top, look how tiny the boats look. And look how tiny the water line looks.
This is at the very top looking down.
We left Jack back at camp with Grandma and Grandpa.
The kids had so much fun tubing, wakeboarding, cliff jumping and swimming.
Jeanna, Brianne, and I all wake boarded together, I had to use Sams wake board because mine was in another boat, it was so hard using that little thing.
Jeremy beat the crap out of us on that thing.

The kids doing a little bit of morning fishing.
Rainbow Bridge.
Rainbow Bridge.

The day we got there Jack had to use the bathroom before we could get the tent set up and had to go out in the open, he really did look so cute.
