Beckstrom Reunion

A couple of weeks ago it was my parents turn to be in charge of the Beckstrom Reunion so we had it down in Delta at the res. Us, my parents, and Van jr all took our boats out. We had a great time tubing, wakeboarding, and playing in the sand on the beach.

We even ran into Ashton.

Newport Beach Getaway

Last week Ryan and I took a little trip without kids!!! We had so much fun. We spent a couple of days hanging out at the beach. We went to Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar, and Huntington Beach it was so nice just hanging out and doing nothing.
We also spent a day driving up the coast to LA. We drove through a place called Palos Verdes it is so gorgeous there. When we got to LA we met up with my brother David and went down to Hollywood and Highland to the Virgin Record store, and then he took us to Korea Town. Ryan went to Korea on his mission so he loved Korea Town. We could not believe how big Korea Town is it is huge. It is way bigger than China Town. There are 2 or 3 big malls, tons of markets, there are even a few skyscraper. We had yummy Korean food it was great. We were even parked right by a gang shooting. We also went to downtown LA, and went to China Town.
Our last night there we went to an Angels Baseball game. Ryan was acting like a little kid in a candy store that night he was so excited for the game. It was such a fun game the Angels did awesome, and we had great seats.
We also ate, ate, and ate some more on our trip. We hit our favorite little Mexican Restaurant twice while we were there. And of course we had to make a couple of trips to Jack's Surfshop.
We were able to do this thanks to my parents. They take our kids camping every summer, it is our kids Christmas present from them.

Why did the french fry go to French?

Here is Jacks joke
"Why did the french fry go to French?"
"Why?"
"So he could French"

This morning he told me that when he goes camping with grandpa and grandma he is going to go four-wheelering. So cute.

Yesterday Jack was outside playing with out shoes on and so I went out to tell him he better get shoes on or take his socks off and this is what I found. Do you think he needs new socks???

This one looks like those gloves that the finger tips can fold back.

Jack finished preschool last week, I can not believe he will be in Kindergarten next year.

Mother's Day

I had a really good Mother's Day on Sunday. Will gave me a great gift he woke my up bright and early at 6:30. He never wakes up that early he always sleeps at least until 7:30. I think he couldn't wait to tell my Happy Mothers Day. Ryan did let me stay in bed so they could do Jack's secret and bring me breakfast in bed.

We went to Sacrament Meeting then headed down to DelDa. My kids had 6 grandma's in Delta that day. My two grandma's were down at my parents for the weekend, and of course Ryans grandmas already live there. So we saw Grandma Margie, Grandma Helen, and Grandma June first. Then we went over and visited Grandma Nielson, and last we were able to see Grandma Tina and Grandma Lois. We had a really good day. We didn't leave for home until 9, so we had a late night but it was worth it we had wonderful Mothers and Grandmothers to visit.

Drew,Kelda, & Jack
Grandma Helen & Grandma June
Ryan & Van Jr. were the Chefs. Van made french fries and Ryan helped out.

Jack: I know.

The other night Jack was in brushing his teeth and he was singing a song and Ryan walked in.

Ryan: Jack what are you singing?
Jack: Dad what is a oneanizer?
Ryan: I don't know.

6th Birthday!

Today is Eli and Eddie's 6th Birthday. I have been thinking about them a lot this week, and I am so grateful for the wonderful experience they gave me. We talk about them all of the time and look at their cute footprints. Sam gets very emotional when we talk about them he misses them so much. Even though they didn't live one day on earth, they have brought us so much joy, sadness, and hope. We have two sweet angels waiting for us to return to them. I feel with all my heart that we will be able to raise them one day and really get to know them, and I know they chose to sacrifice their time on earth to do their part in heaven. I feel proud to be a parent of such sweet, courageous spirits.
