Christmas

We had a really good Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went on our famous drive to look at lights and when we got home the Elves brought our kids pj's. The kids were so excited to get their new pj's.

We spent Christmas at home. We got up and opened presents and just hung out for a while, then we went and saw Marley & Me. It was a good movie, but it was really sad. I think the kids would have liked to see Bedtime Stories better, I think we will go see that one this week sometime. Then later that day we just played games and the kids played with their toys.

The day after Christmas we headed down to Delta for one night. The kids had a good time playing with all of their cousins.

Ward Christmas Party

Yesterday we had our ward Christmas party. We had a yummy breakfast, the primary kids sang a couple of songs, and we were suppose to have Santa but he was told the wrong time. So the bishop filled in. :0) Only a few kids were able to see Santa, the ones who were last in line seeing the bishop. Of course my kids got to see Santa we are always the last ones to leave anywhere (We have Ryan as a dad and husband, he likes to talk alot.)

Will just loved Santa.

Thanksgiving

Jack with his Indian stuff he made at school.

We had Thanksgiving with the Nielson's this year. We had lots of yummy food the Pomegranate Salad was probably my favorite. When we were almost done eating poor Will threw up all his dinner. I don't know if I fed him to much mashed potatoes and gravy or what but he lost it all. The kids had a lot of fun playing with Derek and Braden. Of course they guys watched football. I also went to visit my friend Jennifer it was her birthday that day.
Will riding the horsey at Grandma Tina's

Will had a rough time not having his crib to sleep in the stinker didn't sleep very good at all. We got very little sleep between Will being a punk and just staying up late.

On Black Friday Amber, my mom, and I all went shopping in good old Delta. We only got a few things but we had a good time. The guys went shooting that day and were gone for like 5 hours, I am sure they had a great time. We had a birthday party that afternoon for my niece Jolie she turned one. Friday afternoon Luke had an allergic reaction and was throwing up in the sink, his breathing was getting closed off. He is allergic to tons of things turkey is one of them. My mom ended up just chucking the leftover turkey. We must not have been careful enough. Sorry Luke.

Saturday night my mom, my sister-in-law Missy, my niece Kayla, and I all went to Twilight. I loved it. It was my second time I also went to the midnight show opening night with my sister-in-law Jeanna, and her daughters Brianne, and Rylee we had such a fun time.

Saturday night Sam woke us up at 2:30 (I guess it was morning) he had thrown up he had too much candy the day before. So Ryan and I were up for about 45 min doing laundry and cleaning my moms couch and floor. That has happened to Sam before the poor kid. I don't think that I have ever eaten so much junk that I have thrown up.

Other than all of the throwing up we had a really good time visiting family it just went by to fast.

Wrestling

Over the weekend Sam had a wrestling tournament in Mapleton. It was his very first wrestling match ever. He did such a great job.

We were running a little late as usual. Thank goodness Jeremy & Jeanna were there to take care of us. They got Sam signed in and let us know what mat number and every thing. As soon as we pulled up Ryan and Sam booked it into the gym because they were waiting for Sam to wrestle. When they got there the first kid he was suppose to wrestle wasn't there yet so they waited about 15 minutes and just gave the match to Sam. When they called Sam for his second match the kid standing there on the mat that he was going to wrestle was a kid in his class at school. It was crazy. Sam ended up winning 11 to 1. He did so good. His next match he wrestled a kid that goes to our club that he practices with and Sam ended up pinning him. His last match he wrestled a kid that was quite a bit bigger but he did a great job Sam only lost 6 to 5 and he was up some of the match. So in the end Sam ended up taking 2nd Place. Which is so good for someone who had never wrestled a match before.

It was so cute Ryan took Sam in for his very first weigh-in the night before, and he had to strip down to his undies and he weighed 43 lbs. His weigh class for the tournament was 46-50.

It is so different being the mom of a wrestler than the sister. I mean I always got nervous for my brothers when they wrestled but it is definitely different. It was a new experience for Ryan too, he has never been to a wrestling tournament ever other than state wrestles. He had such a great time and thought it was a fun atmosphere.

Good job Sammy we are proud of you.

SNOW

This is what I woke up to this morning! I can't believe it. It was so nice and warm on Saturday and now this? I am not ready for winter. Plus this morning I was sending Sam out the door for school and his boots didn't fit and they had holes in the toes, but he wanted to walk so bad he wore them any way. Jack wanted to go out and play right after breakfast and we were getting him all bundled up and same thing his boots didn't fit either, but I did find some old galoshes that worked for today. So tonight we had to make a quick trip to TARGET one of my favorite stores :0) to get snow boots. There were snow boots strung out up and down the aisles it was like a tornado hit. Boy were my Boys so happy to get new snow boots. But it doesn't take much to make my kids happy. Sam and Jack are so so happy when I buy them new tooth paste. When Sam was little he use to sleep with his new toothpaste that is how excited he would get. Sorry I am rambling.
So today for us SNOW OUTSIDE + NEW SNOW BOOTS=HAPPY LITTLE BOYS

90th Birthday Party

On Wednesday the 29th my Grandma Helen turned 90 I can't believe it and she is still in such good health. I called her Wednesday night to wish her a happy birthday and she said it was the best birthday she has had she got flowers, tons of cards, phone calls, lots of visitors, and her very 1st Helium Balloon. Can you believe it she is 90 and she has never had a helium balloon it made her so happy to get one. Tonight we had a birthday party for her it was great. She didn't want to have a party she just wanted to go out to dinner, I bet she is glad she got talked into having a party. All of her kids, most of her grandkids, and some of her nieces and nephews were there it was great. She is such a great woman. During the party they wanted us to get up and tell one of our best memories of grandma and I requested that she sing the pig song. It is a song that she sang to us all growing up it is quite the song. She wanted some help singing so my Aunt Charlotte, Aunt Sherie(They are Twins), and Luke all helped her sing.

I wanted to get a picture taken of Grandma, my dad, me, and Will because we are all 30 years apart. My grandma was born in 1918, my dad was born in 1948, I was born in 1978, and Will was born in 2008. So Grandma turned 90, my dad turned 60 earlier this year, and I turn 30 this year, and Will was born this year. I think it is pretty neat. She is such a cute grandma.

HaLLowEen

Our Halloween was two days long this year. The kids were out of school on Friday so Thursday was when they had the parties at school. Thursday morning I had to get Sam in his costume and out the door just after eight. Then I had to get Jack and Will in their costumes and Jack to preschool by nine, Sam's Halloween parade was also at nine so we were a little late but we were able to see Sam. I love the Halloween parade at school I love seeing all of the cute creative costumes. After the parade I took Will home for a quick 20 min nap before Jack's program at school. So Thursday morning was kind of crazy. Then Thursday night was the Trunk or Treat at the church the kids had a fun time.

We have been so busy lately that we didn't even have time to carve pumpkins until 5:00 last night, right before we went trick or treating. Gordon and Pon came up and went trick or treating with us again this year, the kids had so much fun.

Will and the Shark

DON'T FORGET TO PAUSE MY MUSIC THAT IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE BLOG

Will just loves our Shark(the cordless sweeper) He loves to follow it around when I am using it. Tonight however he wanted to sweep himself then take it for a joy ride.

The Zoo

On Tuesday Van, Amber, and their kids were up and we went to the zoo with them. We had a lot of fun. It was really cold but we had the whole zoo to our selves.

On the way home I asked the kids what their favorite things were at the zoo. Sam's said his favorite things were the snakes and the black widow. (The black widow was just in a display of bugs and beetles not alive)Yuck he isn't my kid.

This is what Jack said he liked He was yelling this by the way "I LIKED THE ELEPHANT AND THE BLACK WIDOW. ACTUALLY I DIDN'T SEE THE BLACK WIDOW." He is such a crack up.

Will's favorite thing was the little stream of water by the elephant he liked it better than the elephant.
