Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we headed down to Good Old Delta. The kids and I went down a few days earlier than Ryan because they were out of school for a full week this year. We had a good time in Delta. The kids always love being able to play with their cousins.

This is a picture we took on Thanksgiving. We used it for our Christmas Card.

I DIDN'T HIT YOU

The other morning Will got in bed with me for a few minutes. We were wrestling around a little bit and he hit me. I said, "Will you aren't suppose to hit me." His reply was, " I didn't hit you!" I said, "Yes you did you just hit me." He replied back, "NO, I DIDN'T HIT YOU! I PUNCHED YOU!"

This cute little man just loves to ARGUE and ARGUE and ARGUE! He ARGUES about everything I mean everything. Will and I fight a lot. Most of the time I don't know what to do with him. He is so dang smart and has a comeback for everything. He talks non stop and only has one way of talking LOUD.

But look at this cute face I just love it.

Halloween

Sam, Jack, and Will all ended up being NERDS for Halloween this year. Jack was going to be a Ninja or Power Ranger, and Will was going to be a Spider or Dracula. But when they found out that Sam was going to be a NERD they wanted to be NERDS too. I loved it because I spent 3 whole dollars on costumes this year. They each got reading glasses from the dollar store and we popped out the lenses. And we used old clothes we already had. Sam had toilet paper hanging out of the back of his pants. Will had a KICK ME sticky note on his back. And they each had a custom made pocket protector.
I wish the pictures showed their hair off better because upclose they had some pretty sweet hairdos.
Here is my cute NERD HERD.

Will's Surgery

Will with his Buddy Elmo
Back on October 22nd Will had a little surgery. He had a Meatotamy. They told us to talk to Will about his surgery and let him know what was going to happen. We told him that they would take him into a room and put a mask on him and that he would go to sleep then the doctor was going to cut him and then he would wake up. And his response was "when I wake up I am going to scare the doctor like this rarrrrr." Because he thought the mask was going to be like a Halloween mask.  He is so funny.

The night before his surgery after midnight he had to start fasting, then the next morning after 10:30 he couldn't have liquids. I did so good too. No food was out, no water bottles out, nothing. I only ate a little bit when he was in the other room. We went for a walk around 11:30 to get out of the house because he kept asking for a drink. We had to leave for the hospital around 12:15 because the procedure was at 1:40. After we got back from our walk I opened the car door and told Will to get in the car. I went in and grabbed a few things from the house and was right back out. When I got out to the car Will was sitting in his car seat eating a sucker. I started freaking out because I didn't want to reschedule the surgery. It is not fun making a 2 year old fast. I took the sucker away from him and he was crying and crying. Poor little Will was so hungry and thirsty and I had taken the sucker away. He cried about half the way to Primary Children's Hospital and was saying "Mom I'm thirsty, Mom I need a drink of water". I felt horrible. I was sitting in the front and eating nuts and sipping on water. He finally fell asleep about 5 minutes before we got there, so he was nice and cranky when we got there. We got checked in and had to tell them that he was sucking on a sucker just after 12:00. The nurse came back and told us that they are going to have to see if they could fit the surgery in at the end of the day. Because he had the sucker we had to wait 3 extra hours from the time he had the sucker. Luckily they fit us in, but we had to wait until almost 4:00. So we sat and sat and waited and waited with hungry and thirsty little Will until almost 4:00. I also had a bad migraine that day because I wasn't able to eat that well. When they were ready for him I walked him down to the room and watched them put the mask on him. He was freaking out which was sad. But thank goodness the procedure was only about 15 minutes long. Everything went well but he did have a hard time waking up. He didn't quite rarrr at the doctor unless screaming like crazy counts. We made it home around 5:20. Barely in time for me to make soup for Friendship Friday for Relief Society at 6:00.

Catching Up

Ok so I am finally catching up on my blog. Back in August we had 2 more birthdays. Sam turned 9 on the 15th and Ryan had a birthday on the 17th. School also started. Here are some cute pictures from the 1st day of school. Sam started 4th grade and Jack started 1st. Now with Jack in school all day Will and I spend alot of time together. The poor little guy gets pretty bored so we have started going to storytime every week at the library. We also go to the gym a few mornings a week so he gets to play with his friend Sage quite a bit.

Also this fall Sam played flag football and Jack played soccer. But being the unprepared mom that I am I forgot to take a camera to any of the games. They both had a great time playing. We had wonderful weather all season we only got cold maybe one or two games.

12th Anniversary

Last Saturday was our 12th Anniversary. We went to the Salt Lake Temple and did sealings. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple so it was fun to go back. We were sitting waiting for a sealer and we were talking to girl who recently returned from a mission. We told her it was our anniversary. She said, "Oh is it your 1st?" I looked at her and said, "No it is our 12th." She just about died. She thought we had been married maybe 2 years at the most. Then I told her, Ya we have 3 kids. It was so funny to see someone in  complete shock. She really couldn't believe we were old enough to be married that long.

I sometimes can not believe we have been married that long either. But I couldn't have found a better man. Ryan is so great. He is so cute, funny, and perfect for me. He is the best father. He honors his priesthood, and loves the gospel. He is my Best Friend!!!

Jack turned 6!!!!

Yay!!! Jack finally got a hair cut. I finally talked him and his dad into it. I love his hair short.

Jack also had a birthday on August 5th. I can't believe he is already 6 years old. Jack is such a sweet, loving kid. When he was 2 I was about ready to pull my hair out. But that quickly changed and he is so sweet and just a really good boy. He is such a cutie, I love his eyes they suck you right in.

On Jack's birthday my mom and Grandma June were up staying at my house. That day we met my brother David at the zoo, he was in town from California. After the zoo we went and ate lunch at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, there is a Cafeteria up there and you can see the whole valley while you eat. Then we just drove around downtown and took grandma on a tour of the Avenues and some other fun areas.

Later that night we had some friends over for cake and ice cream.

24th of July!!!!

On the 24th of July Ryan took the boys on a hike up Bells Canyon.
Sam couldn't believe that he could see downtown from Sandy so good.
Later that day we went down to Lehi and went swimming with our friends the Finlinson's.
Then we went to the Finlinson's house for a bbq and fireworks.
We played an Oreo game. You have to start out with an Oreo
in your eye and who ever gets it in their mouth first with out touching it wins.

Flaming Gorge

A couple of weeks ago we went to Flaming Gorge again with our friends the Williams. It was a really short trip only two days, but we had a great time. We ate and ate and ate. We had a great time we rode the tube, the wakeboards,  the airchair, water skied, rode the Razor, and 4 wheelers.

My four cute boys.
Some of the group
Ryan and Will. Poor Will had goopy yucky eyes the whole trip.
Will was out numbered. Will, Sage, Ruthy, and Olivia.
Jack acting like his Uncle Ashton again.
The last night we were there we were all out talking and this mouse kept coming out over by us. Next thing we know Justin is gone and comes back with his BB gun, then off goes Ryan to get his. Brian asked Justin don't you have another one. So Justin, Ryan, and Brian all had BB guns and Travis was on flashlight duty. They ended up getting the Gross Little Thing.

The Gateway

A couple of weeks ago the kids and I went with some friends to The Gateway and played in the water.
We had a great time. It did rain on us a little though. And a gust of wind came up and blew a table umbrella up onto the second level. But the sun came back out, and the kids had fun.
Will loves to say cheese.
Sam, Jack, Will, Logan, and Sage.
I loved watching him play.
I love all of their faces.
