Today was Sam's first day of second grade. He was excited and a little bit nervous. I was excited for him until he was gone about an hour and I started to miss him. It just makes me sad to think that I can't be there for him during those first days of school when it is kind of scary. But he did just fine, I'm just kind of a baby.

Did he love his teacher? She is so sweet and nice. Are kids are getting growing up way to fast.
He is suck a mini Melanie! He is adorable and I know exactly how you feel about sending him to school. Walker couldn't care less that I'm not there with him, but what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall in the lunchroom watching him carry his tray and open his milk carton by himself. He just isn't big enough! Sounds like you had a fun summer!
Hi Mel! I can't believe Sam is in 2nd grade! Our kids are growing up! I wish they could stay little. I always used to tease Macey and say I was going to give her a magic potion so that she wouldn't grow up. She almost started crying once and said NO MOM. Oh how they want to grow up and when they do they wish they were little again! (What's that saying? It goes something like that.)
I can't believe how much Sam looks like you. Your family is so cute!!!
