Gardner Village

Last Friday my friend Jen and I took our kids to Gardner Village for the afternoon to see the witches. We had a good time before we left we had to make a stop at Sweet Aftons candy store to get those suckers on the long stick for Sam and Jack, a powdered sucker for Will, and FUDGE for me!!!

Will and the Shark

Will just loves our Shark(the cordless sweeper) He loves to follow it around when I am using it. Tonight however he wanted to sweep himself then take it for a joy ride.

The Zoo

On Tuesday Van, Amber, and their kids were up and we went to the zoo with them. We had a lot of fun. It was really cold but we had the whole zoo to our selves.

On the way home I asked the kids what their favorite things were at the zoo. Sam's said his favorite things were the snakes and the black widow. (The black widow was just in a display of bugs and beetles not alive)Yuck he isn't my kid.

This is what Jack said he liked He was yelling this by the way "I LIKED THE ELEPHANT AND THE BLACK WIDOW. ACTUALLY I DIDN'T SEE THE BLACK WIDOW." He is such a crack up.

Will's favorite thing was the little stream of water by the elephant he liked it better than the elephant.

Utes Flag Football

I need to do a little bit of catching up, I haven't posted much lately. Sam finish a fun season of UTES flag football, he loved playing and I loved watching. Football is definitely a sport that is easier for me to watch. He is going to start Jr. Jazz in a few weeks and he is looking forward to that. He is going to be on a team with a bunch of his friends so it should be fun. He also starts wrestling in a few weeks so he is going to stay busy, thank goodness because he is always bored. Jack is probably going to do wrestling with Sam too I am sure they will have a lot of fun doing that together.

The other day the kids were in bed and Jack comes running into my room and said, "Mom, It heard like there are witches and ghosts out there" it was so funny.

Last week Jack had a tape measure and he asked Sam, "How long pounds are you?"

Craziness

Last weekend we had a barbecue at our house with some of my family. We always have a great time. My brothers always like to reminisce about when we were younger and all the crazy things we did. Boy did we do some crazy things my poor parents had 6 crazy boys and 1 daughter that was always a perfect ANGEL ha ha :0) My brothers are always teasing me because I always said, "I hate you I'm going to Jennifers" We had many broken bones, stitches, wrestling matches, and boxing matches at our house. My brothers are all pretty competitive too so that didn't make it any better. I think Tony got stitches 3 times in one spot, Tony shot Jeremy with a bb gun, Van Jr. broke his finger when he stuck his finger in a spinning bike tire (for years he blamed me and said he was saving me from sticking my finger in the spokes I wasn't even home), David threw a carp shear and it stuck in my head, Jeremy broke Gordons leg, Van broke Lukes leg, Van wrecked a motorcycle in a barbed wire fence, plus many many more.

Oh and if anything embarrassing happens they will never let you forget about it never. I feel bad for my sister-in-laws they probably weren't use to being teased and made fun of all the time.

Well thanks mom and dad for hanging in there with all of our craziness.

General Relief Society Meeting

Last night I had the opportunity to go to the General Relief Society Meeting with one of my best friends Jennifer Draper. We also went with her mom, sister, and sister-in-law. We had such a good time we had some Yummy food at Paradise Bakery before we went to the meeting then after we made make a quick stop at The Cheesecake Factory to get us each a slice of Cheesecake. Yummy Yummy.

It was so great to be able to attend the meeting in the Conference Center it is such an amazing building. It is so fun being in there with all those women, can you say girl power! When the Prophet walked in it was so amazing, I was kind of in shock because I was expecting President Hinckley to walk in with his cute little cane (And I also put my hand over my heart, kind of like when I go to the movie theater and I try and put my seat belt on :0) I am not quite use to President Monson yet because Pres. Hinckley was in forever. But it was a great experience attending a meeting with the new Prophet.

The General Relief Sociey Presidency did such a great job. President Uchtdorf did such a great job too he is one of my favorites, plus he is very handsome. Thanks Jen for inviting me I had such a great time.

Jack-In-The-Box

Give a little boy a box and he is happy all day. I gave Jack a box around 9 this morning and he was still playing with it at 2. First him and Will were playing in it together it was so cute. Then he was hiding in it from my visiting teachers. Then he started ripping it and jabbing holes in it with a pen. It is some pretty cheap entertainment.

8 Months

Today Will is 8 months old. I can't believe he is that old it seems like I just had him. It seemed like I was pregnant forever because I was sick the WHOLE time. But it was all worth it Will is such a sweet baby.

Jack's 1st day of preschool!

Today was Jack's 1st day of preschool. He was so excited to go he woke up at seven this morning and said, "Mom I am excited about preschool" He usually doesn't wake up that earily he was just so excited. As we were driving to Missin Thompson's(that is what Jack calls her) he said, "Mom I am sick, mom I have a belly ache" He was a little nervous. But once we got inside he did just fine. What a cute little guy.

Flaming Gorge

Last weekend we made another trip up to Flaming Gorge we had a lot of fun. This time we went with Jen & Justin and some of their family. The kids had a fun time playing in the dirt, riding 4 wheelers, and skipping rocks. This trip the weather wasn't as good so we only went boating one day. And the water was so disgusting it was so green and mossy I can't believe I even got in yuck. Ryan's first time out on the board he tweaked his knee hopefully it isn't to serious. But he had a blast on the air chair. On Saturday Justin got the satellite hooked up so we were able to watch part of the Utes Game. Go Utes. We had lots of yummy food. We always love doing stuff with the Williams Fam they are great. We had a good time, but we left a day early because it was really stormy.

First Day of Second Grade

Today was Sam's first day of second grade. He was excited and a little bit nervous. I was excited for him until he was gone about an hour and I started to miss him. It just makes me sad to think that I can't be there for him during those first days of school when it is kind of scary. But he did just fine, I'm just kind of a baby.

Stuff we did this summer!

I have kind of been a slacker on some of the activities that we did this summer so here are a few things that we did.

We went to Lagoon in July with Jeremy and Jeanna's family, and Luke. We had a fun time. One thing that I don't like about Lagoon is all the Trashy people, man where the heck do they all come from??? Our first ride was WICKED. Right when it took off Sam got whiplash and hit his nose and got a bad bloody nose. Thank goodness Rylee had some tissue she handed it back to us so we could kind of get cleaned up. So I didn't even get to enjoy the ride because I was covering Sams nose the whole time. As soon as we were off the ride we shoved tissue up his nose and went right on the Colossus. Sam was such a good sport. Sam's favorite ride was Rattle Snake Rapids. Jack was so funny I finally talked him into going on the Tidal Wave and he did pretty good but he was kind of confused he liked it but it scared him. He said, "that was scary". I asked him if he wanted to go again and he said yea. So we went on it 3 times and he was scared each time but he still wanted to go. Around 10 that night we ran into Christina she is Ryan's cousin so we took the kids on a couple of rides with her kids.

We also went to Yuba in July with my family for a few days. I have to admit I was kind of a party pooper. It was so dang windy if I didn't have a baby it was have been okay. The kids had a blast though. They had fun playing with their cousins.

We also went to the Dinosaur Museum with Dena, Derek and Braden in August. We had a good time we watched a 3D movie and the kids loved playing in the sand.
